WOMENS

At BAD DOG BJJ, we’re proud to offer a safe, empowering, and supportive space for women to discover the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Whether you're completely new to the sport or have some experience on the mat, our Women’s Only classes are designed to help you grow, learn, and thrive.

WHAT IS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a dynamic martial art that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It’s a practical system of self-defense that’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Beyond being a highly effective combat sport, BJJ is a lifelong journey filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and connection.

Women training in BJJ gain not only physical strength but also invaluable mental skills like confidence, resilience, and focus. It’s a discipline that sharpens both body and mind.

WHY SHOULD WOMEN TRAIN BJJ?

Training BJJ offers countless benefits:

  • Self-Defense Skills: Learn practical techniques that empower you to protect yourself effectively.

  • Mental Health Boost: Relieve stress, build confidence, and gain emotional resilience.

  • Fitness & Strength: Improve your posture, core strength, and functional fitness.

  • Community Connection: Train with like-minded women in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  • Life Lessons: Develop humility, patience, and perseverance—qualities that extend beyond the mat.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN CLASS?

Our Women’s Only classes are 90 minutes long and include:

  • Warm-Up: Specific drills designed to improve your movement and ground techniques.

  • Technique Training: Learn foundational and advanced techniques such as chokes, locks, and positional control.

  • Sparring (Optional): Practice what you’ve learned in a safe and controlled environment—only when you feel ready.

All levels are welcome! Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, our classes focus on personal growth and progression.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

  • First Class: Wear comfortable, zip-free activewear (shorts or tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt).

  • Regular Classes: You’ll need a Jiu-Jitsu kimono (Gi). We can help you order one for €70-90.

  • Extras: Bring water to stay hydrated, and in the hotter months, consider electrolytes to replenish essential minerals.
